Building working-class power in Boulder County
Who we are
Boulder DSA is the Boulder County, Colorado chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America, the largest socialist organization in the country.
We're workers, students, parents, and neighbors united by a simple belief: the economy should work for all of us, not just the wealthy few. We organize for housing people can afford, wages people can live on, and healthcare as a human right.
We don't wait for politicians to save us. We knock on doors, show up at city council, support striking workers, and build the power we need to win.
Get involved
The best way to get started is to come to an event like Socialism 101 or one of our General Meetings which are held on the first Saturday of every month. Check out our calendar of events below.
If you have accessibility needs or questions about our meetings, please email us at boulder.dsa.accessibility@gmail.com
All are welcome at our meetings, please keep in mind that in order to participate in voting at General Meetings, you must be a dues-paying member of the Boulder DSA, in good standing. To join please follow the link below.
What we fight for
Housing Justice
Housing is a human right. Our members organized and helped pass the ‘No Eviction Without Representation’ ballot measure, guaranteeing legal representation for renters facing eviction. We continue fighting for tenant protections and policies that put people over profit.

Creating a Left Coalition
No organization wins alone. We work with groups throughout Boulder and Broomfield counties to build a broad coalition of housing organizers, mutual aid networks, immigrant rights advocates, and anti-war organizations. Solidarity means showing up for each other's fights.
Building Labor Power
Workers are stronger together. Our members are active in local unions, and our chapter shows up to support labor whenever and wherever we can—on picket lines, in organizing drives, and in the fight for living wages.
Fighting Alienation
Capitalism isolates us. It tells us we're on our own, competing against each other just to survive. Our chapter is a community—students, workers, retirees, people from every industry and background. We build solidarity across issues and fight the alienation of living under a system designed to keep us apart.
Political Education
Socialism is a practice, and practice takes study. Our long-standing reading group digs into theory, history, science fiction, and everything in between. You don't need a background in Marxism to join—just curiosity and a willingness to learn together.
What we believe
We believe our government and our workplaces should be run democratically by workers—to meet the needs of our community, not to enrich billionaires and those who do their bidding. We oppose all forms of oppression and believe everyone has a right to housing, healthcare, a living wage, and a dignified life.
We know the rich and powerful manipulate politicians, the law, and the economy to serve their interests. And we know the only way to change that is through an organized movement of millions of working people.
How we work
We don't believe any single tactic is enough. We organize unions. We show up on picket lines. We push legislation. We knock doors for candidates who share our values. We protest. We build mutual aid networks. We educate ourselves and each other.
Members can attend and vote in our general meetings, join committees and working groups to support the causes we believe in. All are encouraged to organize around the causes that mean the most to you.
